In the beginning of Genesis chapter 2 we read: “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done…” (Gen. 2:2). We also find that God did not just finish working, but it says that he finished his “work.” This would seem to imply that all of creation took place within a single day.
Now some may argue that the days in Genesis are not literal 24 hour periods and are therefore longer periods of time, but this argument fails for a few reasons:
So how long did all this take? I’m not sure, but I’m guessing it was at least a few billion years! So if God can do everything in one day then why can’t we? If you want something bad enough and really work hard for it then nothing is impossible! Just like the Bible says: “With God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26)
God made man in his own image and that’s why he was able to do everything that God did on earth. Man was created with the same power that God used to create all things. You have this same power within you right now! All you need is faith.
The Bible says: “You will say then, Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?” (Romans 9:19). This verse seems to imply that there must be something wrong with us if we don’t use our gifts and abilities to their fullest potential. If God can do everything in one day then why can’t you? You have this same power within you right now! All you need is faith.

The Chinese are building a wall to keep out the Mongols, who in turn built another wall to keep out the Chinese. This cycle would continue for thousands of years until finally, in the year 1949, Mao Zedong’s communist revolution ended the tradition and made China into one united country.
